Use This Travel Advice For Any Destination

Traveling for fun or business is exciting. Unfortunately, the excitement of the trip may lead you to forget some useful information. Having the right information can open many doors for you, even those unexpected ones. The following tips will help ensure a successful voyage.

When you are in a foreign country, get pocket money at an ATM rather than changing cash for local currency. Most of the time banks and the like get much better exchange rates than you as an individual can get. This may save you money later on.

After choosing the location for your next trip, take time to learn about. Choose a good map of the area, and pore over the museums, sightseeing destinations and the general region. Becoming familiar with the environment ahead of time will make it easy to navigate once you get there.

Before packing, make a list. Create this list either a few months to a week before your trip. If you are delayed in beginning your packing, having a comprehensive list will make the task quicker, easier, and with less clutter.

Pack lightly when traveling. When you carry less items with you, there is less of a chance of having items stolen or losing them. Limit the number of shoes you bring along since they are usually the biggest and heaviest items people carry with them.

Use a price watcher. This feature offered by many websites lets you enter in destinations you travel to frequently and it watches them for you. When the prices of the hotel or airfares drop to the level of your choosing, the website will alert you with an email about the change. This takes the work out of your needing to check the prices everyday.

Try not to think too much about what could happen on your trip. Rely on the advice in this article when it comes to planning out your trip. It’s worth taking the time to become educated on travel, as you will need this information at some point.

Unplugged Edition Destination Myanmar Now Offering Online Tourist Visa

Myanmar has launched an online application system for tourist visas, as foreign tourism arrivals reach record numbers, air access increases and accommodation supply grows with the opening of new hotels in Yangon, Mandalay and other destinations in the country.

The eVisa can be applied for at evisa.moip.gov.mm with the application process requiring a person’s passport to be valid for at least six months, one colour photo taken during the past three months and the fee (non refundable) of US$50 paid either with Visa or MasterCard.

The eVisa is valid for a length of stay of 28 days from the date of arrival in Myanmar, with the validity of approval up to 90 days from its issuing date. It can be used for a single entry (re-entry requires another eVisa) and currently only through Yangon International Airport, with authorities saying other ports of entry would be announced later.

The application website states the applicant will receive an email acknowledgement within one hour of successful payment of the US$50 fee and that the processing time of an application is up to five working days.

Upon approval, the applicant will receive an email with an eVisa Approval Letter which needs to be printed out and presented to immigration at the airport upon arrival in Yangon.

The unique kaleidoscope of travel experiences these countries offer is that of picturesque landscapes, exotic cultures, fascinating traditions, tantalizing cuisines and accommodation to fit all tastes and budgets. This includes some of the finest boutique and luxury hotels in Asia.

In Myanmar the choice of accommodation is growing, with the hotel sector seeing a boost in foreign investment.
